CST - High Frequency or Low Frequency Solvers

Hello All,

I setup a simulation for near magnetic fields (1-10000 Hz) to understand the potential impact of motor drive connectors, inductors, PCB traces, etc. on hall effect sensor ICs. I currently do all of this in the frequency domain high frequency solver with normal material types for conductors. On top of this, I run a transient schematic task combined result to have a time domain signal response. I always feel that there must be a more efficient way of doing this since I use the high frequency solver for low frequencies and use frequency domain just to convert it to time domain with a transient task. However from my experience...

Low Frequency Time Domain Solver - No lumped elements to model some of my PCB loads

Low Frequency Frequency Domain Solver - No discrete ports to connect to schematic elements such has SPICE models

High Frequency Time Domain Solver - Much larger mesh and with the low frequency the solver always complains of long solving times

Can anyone comment on their experience for this type of simulation? Is there a better way of doing this or do my constraints/models force me to the HF-FD solver.

Thanks!
