CST - Designing Wi-Fi and GSM Antennas (2.4, 5, and 1.8 GHz) for Mobile Devices – Guidance Needed for University Project Using CST

Hello everyone, for university I have to design Wi-Fi antennas (2.4 and 5 GHz) and GSM antennas (1.8 GHz) for mobile phones and laptops. It's an assignment to be submitted by the end of August, after which we’ll discuss in class what we did and how we did it.

Can anyone tell me where I can find useful information? For example: what type of omnidirectional antenna is typically used in mobile phones and laptops, how to build one, or at least what characteristics the antennas should have for these three types. Any other relevant information would also be greatly appreciated.

The professor didn’t give us any hints or help because he wants to test our problem-solving skills. He only told us: “Use all the resources at your disposal, the important thing is to achieve a result — whether it's right or wrong.” That’s why I’m writing here.

The only thing we’ve been given is access to CST Studio Suite  at the university whenever we want, to test our "prototypes"... That’s all. I look forward to hearing from you, and thanks in advance.
