I am currently working with CST Studio Suite – Learning Edition and I am facing an issue when trying to create a via in my design.

I followed several tutorials, in which the via is created by selecting a face and extruding it through the substrate. However, in my case, I am not able to select any face to perform the extrusion. This option seems to be unavailable or disabled in the Student / Learning Edition.

I am not sure whether this is a limitation of the Learning Edition or if I am missing a specific setting or modeling approach.

Would anyone be able to:

• confirm whether face selection and via extrusion are supported in the Student / Learning Edition, and
• suggest a workaround or alternative method to model a via in this version of CST?

Any help, advice, or example would be greatly appreciated.
