Hi all,
I am trying to calculate Power flow win 2D/3D results with E-field and H-field in the monitor.
I used the following definition in the help content.
Powerflow: This monitor stores the Poynting vector of the electromagnetic field. In some more details the monitor corresponds to the real part of the complex Poynting vector evaluated at the specific given frequency. It represents the value of the power flow at every spatial point averaged over one period of time (with respect to the given frequency). From this definition it follows that the monitor is a vector, real valued and time independent field.
I got averaged (E X H*) over one period of time by changing the phase value in VectorPlot3D (0:10:360) and divided the sum of the results by time T (frequency: 73Ghz).
However, the time-averaged result is totally different from the Power flow that CST Studio Suite provides.
Can I be provided with the equation I can follow to calculate Powerflow from the E-field and H-field results?
