CST - Calculating surface charge density on the dielectric

Hello All,  I am doing a simulation in CST Studio Suite  - ES PIC solver. I have two parallel plate, and there is a dielectric in between I am emitting nitrogen ions (userdefined) whose charge is 1.6e-19 and mass is 2.324e-26 kg. I want to see that what is the surface charge density that builds up with time and matches with the analytical calculations :Also  what is the charge required for the ions to deflect . Below are the parameters

  • Top plate = 0.4um x 0.4um x 0.01um
  • Bottom plate = 0.4um x0.4um x0.01um
  • Dielectric (Alumina )= 1.2umx 1.2um x0.05um
  • Distance from the top and bottom plate is 0.6429um
  • Distance from top to dielectric 0.35um
  • Distance from bottom to dielectric = 0.1um
  •  The boundary conditions are : Xmin , Xmax, zmin , zmax  - Magnetic , y min , ymax = electric
  • background = Normal , surrounding space applied 0.2um
  • The  emission is DC emission the current is 1e-7 A and number of particles defined is 192
  • The simulation setup is total simulation time 10ns and total simulation steps 1000
  • I have defined two particle 2D monitors and 3D field monitors and a PIC position monitor ,
  • The problem is  I am not able to see the surface charge density what will increase with time and the total charge that will increase with time . Please let me know how to fix this problem and what parameters should I use to correct it
