Dear everybody, i'm a student who new to XFEM, i'm sorry if my question is too simple or easy for the experts. From my information, XFEM allows the crack growth and propagate in a model without an existing crack, and i have done an example that similar to abaqus benchmark problem 1.19.2, eventhough i succeed to analyse the result, but the crack is not growing or propagate. The result only showed the place of high possibility failure even showed in the animation. Can anyone please explain to me? Your reply is highly appreciated.
