I am currently working on a numerical model in Abaqus to simulate push-out tests for a new steel–timber–concrete composite joint. 

When running my analysis, I receive the following warning:

“There are 2 facets that are found to be facing in the wrong direction with respect to the main surface for the contact pair(CLT–concrete interface). Please check the orientation of the surfaces relative to each other.”

This occurs specifically at the contact between the CLT (BSP) and the concrete.

For the interaction, I defined a surface-to-surface contact.

I already checked my surface selections, but I am not sure how to correctly fix these “wrongly oriented facets.”

Has anyone experienced a similar issue? What is the best way to solve this?
