Hi,

I am modelling a concrete cube with aggregates and I have two parts, 1. aggregates 2. Mortar. I have meshed this in hypermesh and I have created surfaces by selecting the interior surfaces of the aggregate cut out parts in mortar and selecting the outer surfaces of aggregates. I have created a contact using these two surfaces and the issue is the stresses do not transfer in to aggregates through the contact. Please note in attached figures that no damage is seen in aggregates. ( there is no stresses in aggregates as well) 

I have tried tie constraints, general contact, contact pairs etc. Could someone help me to identify the issue. Thanks.
