Dear all,

I am working with cohesive surfaces and contact in a 3D model. The Abaqus models are highly sensitive and a common error source is excessive distortion single elements involved in contact.

To find a more robust model definition, I would like to use adaptive meshing such as ALE in Abaqus but failed so far to achieve an improvement.

If anyone knows example applications of these techniques or other resources of information than the abaqus manual, I would be very grateful.
