Hi
I need your help again. This is my first time using fluid cavity model so I'd like to clarify some concepts to make sure I am doing it correctly.
I am modelling a fluid pressure change in a pipe due to thermal expansion on the rock outside the pipe using fluid cavity model. I define fluid cavity properties including density and bulk modulus.
1. my first question is do I need to input initial fluid pressure? I am thinking since I have already defined density, does it mean the fluid pressure will be automatically calculated based on density and z coordinate ( 3D model)? I am not sure. It look like I didn't need to ? I didn't find the description on the manual.
Do I need the below input?
*Initial Conditions, type=FLUID PRESSURE
Set-cv-RF, 2.7e+06
** INTERACTION PROPERTIES
**
*Fluid Behavior, name=IntProp-1
*Fluid Density
1000
*Fluid Bulk Modulus
2.2e+09,
2. 2nd question is: can I fix the displacement on part of fluid cavity surface? For example, I used two separate surfaces to define fluid cavity surface. But I fix the displacement of one surface. I did and no error, just to confirm if the calculation will still be valid?
3. 3rd question is: how do I change fluid temperature? Can I define temperature field for fluid cavity reference point in load module? I am doing like below, only apply temperature field to fluid cavity point. Not sure if it represents whole cavity temperature?
** Name: T-cavity Type: Temperature
*Temperature
Set-RF, 28.
Thank you so much for your help again. I appreciate it.
