When you use Abaqus CAE, your work is saved on .rec and .rpy files that can be used to recreate your work. The files are readable, containing calls to python scripts that CAE understands. I can set up a FEA model in CAE, then read the script and get some idea of what the script is doing. What I want is documentation about the scripts themselves, so I can generate a FEA model without the numerous mouse-clicks that using CAE demands, to easily recycle previous models, to easily parameterize my models, etc. What I need is a user manual for the CAE scripts. is there such a thing? if not what is it out there about this?
