Hello everybody, happy easter to you all,

I encounter a problem with an analysis I have to do on an assembly of multiple pieces. I have an assembly that was designed by designers on CATIA from the 3DExperience platform and they gave it to me to study on SIMULIA from the 3DExperience. My problem is that when they design, they do not need it to be very precise, so, for a few amount of pieces, they "go through" other pieces (there are intersections of pieces). Of course, for the CAD that is not a really big problem but for CAE it kind of is because I can't do mesh capturing to have mesh continuity (and so contact for the simulation to be completed) because that would need me to augment the tolerance which would create mesh distorsion. I was told a way to solve that was to mesh both parts, and then to say those parts are either in contact or to make a tie connection between them, is it true and does anybody had that problem and succesfully solved it?

PS: I don't want to modify the 3D geometry because that would take a tremendous amount a time given that this happens a lot
