I have a model of a human foot under load by a flat floor. My problem is that in the model setup I want to begin the load step with the sole of the foot just touching the floor, but I am stuck as to how to bring the two surfaces together in the assembly. As the sole of the foot is irregular, it is unknown as to which nodes it will contact first on the floor and I have several loading conditions represented by several foot-floor angles so the contact points should be different for all of these conditions. What is the best way of bringing these two surfaces together prior to the application of loading?
