Bistable Laminates Simulation

Hi,

 

I have been facing some confusion on doing simulation with axial test in bistable laminates (composite) in ABAQUS to capture the snap through load. What I need is-

  • Do I need to assign a curvature of the laminate while creating the part?
  • If I need to apply impact load with low velocity (5 in/min) until the laminate transform from one stable state to another and then stop the load, how can I assign it?
  • If I need to assign boundary condition at the four corners of the laminate and fixed the point slightly inside from the edges or corner points, is there any way to fix those points without doing the partition?
  • I need the load vs time and displacement vs time plot until the laminate snap through, for this If I request the displacement and force in the field output request will it be right?

     

I am a beginner in composite material simulation in ABAQUS, I need to this to validate my experimental results. Could you please provide me guideline on this or suggest any document or tutorial that would be helpful for me? Thanks for your help and support.
