Adjoint Sensitivity Analysis with respect to user-defined design parameter

I have checked Simulia documentation and it seems that I can extract the sensitivities of a specific output field with respect a set of available design parameters (check the attached photo for the available parameters). 

My question, is it possible to define a new parameter and extract the sensitivity of an output field with respect to this parameter?. 

For example can I extract the sensitivity of the stiffness matrix with respect to defined lamination parameters (which is a function of composite material laminate thickness and fiber orientation angles).
