I am working with the USDFLD subroutine to perform some failure analyses on composite materials and I am trying to get my head around the PNEWDT variable as I think it will prove extremely useful.

However, I am not managing to understand it and the information in the Abaqus User Subroutines Reference Guide (http://130.149.89.49:2080/v2016/books/sub/default.htm) is really small. I would like to know if there is any more documentation on it or any external guides. I'm still in the very initial stages of my project so I don't have any particular questions but I would like to gain an understanding of how this functions.
