I begin to study the continuum shell element, because compared to conventional shell, it has thickness, But seems that there is not some theory about the continuum shell in ABAQUS theory manul, only say the continuum shell is based on layerwise theory. My study is about thermal expansion, I want to know how the thermal load works in continuum shell element(SC8R), or how the thermal load vector was generated,Thanks
