Hello, Guys

I have met the convergence issue when the gasket element was applied. Abaqus always show the warning of Numerical singularity. 

My model is very simple, it just like a flange press the gasket. No frictional parameter can be defined in the contact pairs, so it is difficult to prevent the movement of the flange.

My queries is :

1) Can I define *contact pair, tied* for gasket element as the corresponding gasket element have the initial gap to the flange?

2) Is there any ways to fix the convergence issue between gasket element and shell element ?
