Abaqus - Temperature in CEL orthogonal cut

Hello,
I am facing a problem using Abaqus explicit.
I want to simulate an orthogonal cut using the CEL approach. When looking at the results, a cold temperature around the moving material is created - can be seen in the picture. (The tool is fixed, only the material is moving - only the bottom left corner is filled with material, void elements aren´t suppressed to see the cold layers)
Do I get this problem because of the filling status of the elements (maybe it is giving an average temperature like: 50% of the element is filled, 50% empty - so the temperature is calculated to (T_filled+T_void)/2 or sth.)? It is the same with every temperature output (NT, TEMP, TEMPMAVG)
