I am running into an error while trying to run a submodel analysis. I am trying to do detailed stress analysis on a section of a global model. The odb from the global model exceeds 2 GB.
When I set up the submodel, I refine the mesh of the parts that I have kept from the global model and apply the submodel boundary conditions. All other interactions, constraints, loads, and boundary conditions are retained from the global model. The model is run in Abaqus/Explicit.
Once I submit the job for analysis, the job fails during the input file processing stage. The input file processing fails when I run a data check at the line where the submodel boundary condition is applied. I've tried changing the other boundary conditions, changing the mesh density, and deleting all interactions, but the input file processing still fails at the line where the submodel boundary condition is applied.
The attached image is a picture of the exception file that is created after the job has failed.
I've tried to replicate the error with small example cases, but I have not run into this error other than when trying to run the analysis of my model. Could this possibly be due to size limitations on the odb file with which the submodel can work?
