Is it possible to install the Abaqus Student Edition natively under Linux? ( In my case it would be on a Ubuntu machine)

If not, has anybody tried to install the Abaqus Student Edition with wine (I guess not) or could I install it on a virtual machine?

Actually I am mostly interested in getting the Abaqus Python libraries working under Linux, because I rather like to work/code on a linux machine than Windows, but my institute only has Abaqus installed on Windows machines. I would like to program my model via scripts on my linux computer. The calculations would actually be done on a Windows Server provided by my unitversity.
