Abaqus - Static Linear Perturbation not working in Models with Interactions

Hello Simulia Community,

In my model, I have an assembly comprising of a main vertical cylindrical shell with external concentric rings (spaced at certain intervals) glued to the outside surface of main shell using tie constraints. I also have defined few kinematic couplings to apply concentrated forces. See attached snap shot.

For loading, I have different kinds of loads (example internal pressure, external traction pressure, concentrated loads on reference points, gravity) etc. I need to run the analysis for a combination of these loads. So when I define "Static, Linear Perturbation" step and then define load cases, I receive an error as "Overconstraint checks for boundary conditions on nodes belonging to connector elements, rigid bodies, and *coupling constraints are not performed in steps with *load cases". Also the step time is 2.22e-16.

However,

  1. if I remove all the interactions (tie constraints and kinematic couplings), the same load cases solves without any warning.
  2. if I run the same mode as "Static, General" and define a number of steps and then use "propagated" and "modified" loads in Load Manager (as an equivalence to Load Cases of linear perturbation), the model runs wells and step time is also 1.0 at each step. But this alternative is very tedious especially if my values of load changes, I need to go and change it manually in each step.

May I know why the static, linear perturbation is giving away warnings and not solving as desired ? what does the step time of 2.22e-16 signify ?

Appreciate any other input around this topic as well. Thanks in advance.
