We have a cluster system used by numerous users to perform analyses using different applications. We are running Abaqus/Standard on this system. When there is a high work load on the system, the Abaqus jobs tends to fail during the pre-processing with the following error message in the .dat-file:
***ERROR: An error occurred during a write access to
It seems to us that there is a problem for Abaqus to find enough available disk space on the system for the temporarily storage during the job execution. If the same input file is submitted to be analysed when the cluster system is not highly utilized, or if I run the same analysis locally on my computer it works fine, so there is no problem with the input file as I see it. I do not know enough about how such HPC systems and Abaqus works to understand the problem.
Have anyone experienced the same problem, and know what causes it?
