Hi. I run rolling simulations in ABAQUS/Standard. I have observed some very strange behaviour. If I run a model with a certain parameter regime, I get a nice steady force vs time plot after a while. However, if I run the exact same simulation with just roller radius and angular velocity changed (but rolling speed = radius*angvel kept constant), the force never levels off. I have no idea why this is happening. Can someone help me please. I have two identical .inp files (apart from radius and angvel) for anyone to run if they want to try it out and see for themselves. Running abaqus version 2021 if that's any use. Thanks
