Hello, I have a model of a small shaft-hub connection with a shrink fit consisting of two steel parts, but the resulting stresses seem off and I haven't been able to find a way to resolve it.
The ring has a diameter of 80mm and the whole thing is slowly rotating with 10 cycles per minute resulting in a centrifugal force. There is contact between the two parts, but no friction. Despite the initial step there is one step for the rotation. For the shrink fit, I have defined an overclosure of 0.05mm (0.00005m in Abaqus) and got max. stresses around 728 N/mm². However, I noticed no matter how much overclosure I define the results always stay the same, which doesn't make any sense to me. I got the same stresses with 0.0005mm overclosure. Does anyone know a solution to this?
I have included the most important keywords below and a screenshot of the results I get. Thank you in advance!
