Hi @ all
I want to try to use Abaqus on WSL (Windows subsystem Linux).
I hope that my analyses will run faster and more stable.
According to "online" contributions, serious processes on Linux should run up to. 30 % faster. I don't believe this, but it's worth a try.
The WSL is not a virtual machine, but it avoids the Windows overhead and therefore executes the Linux commands directly.
Thus, approx. 94% of the native Linux speed is to be achieved.
Hence my questions.
Do you think that is possible?
Which OS would you use?
CENTOS is out. I have tried WSL. There are too many problems here. The reason is that there is no reasonable WSL implementation.
