I am looking at a 2d beam problem. Simply supported beam with gravity loading and offset axis. The moment in the beam at the support converges, slowly. So, in looking at alternatives, I noticed NFORCSO. But, to my surprise, there was really nothing about it in the manual. This is all I found. And, it appears to be wrong. NFORCSO1 seems to be the axial force allright, but NFORCSO6 is definitely not the twisting moment as the manual seems to suggest, but rather the bending moment about axis 1! So my question: what is going on with this output? Can anyone explain why it isn't more fully described, whether I can rely on it, and if there is more on this topic elsewhere, where to find it? Obtained with Abaqus Student Edition 2023.
