Hello I have this model with two layer of solid elements (on the left) and a layer of porous cohesive elements that connect the solid elements on the right. During the step I apply a distributed load on the surface (*DSLOAD) and as you can see the cohesive elements(highlighted in red) compresses a bit. However when I increased the mesh density on the left going from two rows of elements to four the compression increase and the cohesive elements are almost invisible. When I increased more the mesh density going to 8 rows of elements, when the pressure is applied the solid elements bring down the cohesive elements and penetrate the other solid elements. I defined the bulk modulus of the cohesive elements using *porous bulk moduli in the material properties. I don't understand if i am defining somenthing wrong, because all the other parameters were the same during the simulation. I was expecting to obtain the same kind of compression of the cohesive elements for different mesh density of the solid elements.Thank you for your help.
