I am looking for ideas and suggestions on how I can mesh the model (attached) by scripting. So far I'm thinking of creating 1/8 of the model as an orphan mesh of continuum elements, then pattern and merge in the assembly environment. However, it's quite difficult for me to come up with a procedure to mesh 1/8 of the model. Eventually, I plan to run a parametric study by varying the diameters.
