Hi! I'm relatively new to Abaqus, and I'm trying to simulate a beam that is modeled as 2D wired. The beam should be constrained at the top by roller support with lateral, non-constant load. Around the middle point, I have to limit the displacement in the U1 direction, but it should allow the beam to move in the U2 direction. The problem that I have is to fix the lateral roller support in space. The constrain should not move in U2 with the beam. Can someone give me some tips on how to do it?
