In Abaqus Analysis User's Guide "Defining the Gasket Behavior Directly Using a Gasket Behavior Model", it is mentioned that, "If unloading occurs from a maximum closure for which an unloading curve is not specified, the unloading is interpolated from neighboring unloading curves. The unloading curves are stored in normalized form so that they intersect the loading curve at a unit stress (or unit force) for a unit elastic closure, and the interpolation occurs between these normalized curves". What interpolation algorithm Abaqus uses or does Abaqus explain the normalization and interpolation process, thanks!
