I am modelling the punching shear of a concrete slab. For contact interactions, I am using general contact as well as the constraints 'embedded region' and 'tie'. To speed up my simulation, I am using mass scaling. If I keep all settings constant but change the mesh size of my entire model, the solution depends heavily on my mesh size:
The above force curves remain fairly constant for different time increments as mass scaling parameters. Since another user had a similar problem, I have already tried replacing the general contact with a surface-to-surface-contact in order to use the kinematic contact algorithm instead of the penalty contact algorithm. Unfortunately, this did non change anything.
Does anyone know why my model is so heavily dependent on the mesh size?
