Hello everyone, 

Using Abaqus for dynamic analysis, in order to get the initial acceleration value, how to apply a non-zero initial displacement and/or a non-zero initial velocity, I know that the initial velocity can be defined in a predefined field, but where is the initial displacement defined? Is it necessary to do a static analysis at a tiny time step to approximate the initial state before performing the dynamic analysis?
