I am simulating spherical steel bearing in my Abaqus bridge model and using wire elements and there are 4 different types of bearings with respect to their translation, 1-longitudinal free, 2-transverse free, 3-bidirectional free and 4-fixed bearing
the rotation is free for all 4 types of bearings but translation depends on bearing type, I have used different connectors, like Join, slot, bushing, slide plane, Cartesian for translation and for rotation I used cardan and rotation, but I am not sure, which one is best fit for spherical steel bearings where rotation is free for all directions, please suggest me the best combination of connectors for wire elements for all these 4 types of bearings (longitudinal free translation, transverse free, fixed and bidirectional free translation)
