I have a part 1.7mm thick and made of three plies. I have input strength values of laminate ( combined strength of all plies) but Abaqus determines stress in each ply.  How can I determine the stress state (whether fail or pass failure index) for the whole laminate?.

Plus have I entered strength values (of laminate) correctly or should I input strength values of each ply ( which is almost impossible or very difficult to achieve physically).?
