Hello,
I am doing a very basic modelling.
Geometry : 3D, Deformable, (cuboidal strip)x dim = 100, y dim = 20, z dim = 10
Material : Either Elastic or Plastic
Steps : Check Static General, Static Riks, Dynamic Implicit, Buckle Linear Perturbtion
Load : (General)Surface Traction on Right Face
Boundary Condition : Pinned (U1, U2, U3 set to zero) on Left Face
Mesh Element : For 3D Geometry >> 3D Stress, For 2D Geometry >> Checked Plane Stress and Plane train
Problem Faced : With an applied load of, say, 100 along +X direction, the expected amount of transverse compressive stress, assuming Poisson's Ratio of 0.33, should be 100*0.33 = 33. But will all the various combinations from the variables mentioned above, I am getting a very low transverse compressive stress, usually less than 1.
If anyone has any idea of what is going wrong here, please help.
