I try to model a laminated composite plate with continuum shell elements but I entered material properties as lamina and used SC8R shell elements but it gives an error 240 elements have zero transvere shear stiffness. The elements have been identified in element set ErrElemZeroTransShearStiff. Why the transverse shear stiffness is zero ? How could it be calculated ?
