GEOVIA CONNECT 25X: Easy Scheduling for Underground Mines
Here's the response from @HS, Senior Portfolio Technical Specialist - Dassault Systèmes:
Hamish SINCLAIR-ROSS Senior Portfolio Technical Specialist Dassault Systèmes | The future of the Tactical Mine Planning role will be on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. MineSched will continue to be supported and enhanced, but in parallel we are developing a new platform-based role for creating tactical mine plans. The key advantage of moving to the platform is seamless integration with strategic planning and design tools, enabling fast and efficient generation of tactical plans. Our initial focus will be on surface workflows, but underground workflows are also part of the long-term vision. Parametric design capabilities are rapidly maturing on the platform, and this is especially valuable for underground planning. Even small design adjustments, such as level spacing or heading gradients for drainage are extremely time-consuming to change manually. As a result, planners often cannot evaluate many design alternatives. Parametric tools allow rapid evaluation of multiple design scenarios and make it possible to understand their impacts on the tactical plan. By combining these parametric design capabilities with future tactical planning tools on the platform, we will deliver a powerful, integrated workflow. This is particularly important for underground operations. Features such as development activities will not be added to MineSched but will instead be implemented in the new 3DEXPERIENCE tactical planning role.
