We're using CATIA V5R29, and 3DX R2023x using the Designer Central schema (ie; XCAD objects). Previously, a family of rivets has been created by:
- Making a generic part containing a design table with the rivet variants within it.
- Generating the family of rivets using the CATIA catalog editor, with the resolved parts saved to a local network folder on our server.
- The individual resolved parts were then uploaded to 3DX and released, to be used as standard parts.
It has become apparent that there is an error in the generic part, and therefore in all of the resolved parts in both the network folder and in 3DX. I can:
- Modify the generic part to correct the error.
- Use the catalog editor to update the resolved parts, so that they are all correct.
But how do I then revise all of the released rev A rivets in 3DX to rev B in such a way that they match the corrected geometry. Other than manually modifying the geometry in each one, which will be time consuming and open to error, I don't know of a way to do it en masse. Any ideas?
