Following up to a similar iquestion 

I'd like to know if the 'manufacturing items engineer' (MFN) can be used as a standalone solution for MBOMs or is it required to have a XEN role to perform specific tasks in advance?

more specific: 
A client would like to use the MFN to manage MBOM's for their physical products that has been created by SOLIDWORKS.
