By design a physical product is defined as "EACH" however there are products that can be defined by a unit of length area volume or mass. if the user needs to define a product consumed by a defined quantity of the unit of measure there are no options for this.
An example would be Wire(Product 1), the physical product consumes Qty 50 of Product 1, Where instance 1 of product 1 consumes Qty 40 and instance 2 of product 1 consumes Qty 10. Product 1 is defined by a unit of length (IN).
Another example would be Lead Shot, the physical product consumes Qty 500 of product 1, Where instance 1 of product 1 consumes Qty 250 and instance 2 of product 1 consumes Qty 250. Product 1 is defined by a unit of mass (lb).
How can this be achieved in Engineering Release to properly define the physical product?
