Each part in our product has a "design responsible individual" (DRI). Often, though, another person will make a revision or branch to update something on their behalf. I do this fairly frequently when helping out with BOM management and CAD cleanliness tasks. 

When I make a revision of an item, I become the owner of that new revision. 

I'd like to keep the DRI the owner of that item, so the new revision shows their name. This helps with analyzing issues and ensuring the right person is notified or approving changes. 

Any insights on how I can keep, or revert, the owner of an item to what it was on the previous revision?
