Enovia on Premise and Oracle in cloud

Hi,

Within my organization we are looking at our application portfolio and if we can transfer this to the cloud.

I know Enovia can run in the cloud, but that is not going to happen soon for us as we have a highly customized environment. We are in de process of de-customizing to get closer to OOTB. But what about only transferring the Oracle Database to the cloud. Does anyone have any experience with this. By moving Oracle to the cloud we would save on maintaining our current Oracle environment (only used for 2 applications). All other applications we have are on SQL server (our preferred DB environment).

We would like to keep Enovia still on-premise but move our Oracle environment to the cloud.

My questions are:

Will this work?
Any do's or don'ts?
Good idea?
