I haven't been able to find too much information in regards to assigning and controlling effectivity of an assembly in the scope of multiple Models. After some discussion, our team settled that there might not actually be a valid use case for this, or that I'm trying to apply a tool to a use case that it isn't built for. Can anyone confirm my thinking or bring light to the process? When trying this in the system, CATIA doesn't allow me to apply effectivity in reference to the second model because of the first one.
Let's say I have an assembly [Parent 1] that is being consumed in a larger assembly [Grandparent 1], and is configured based on Model A and it's model versions, effectivity on it's children. On top of this though, I want to be able to configure the children in Parent 1 based on Model B when I have it open as the root context. So that when I explore Grandparent 1, I get Model A effectivity on the children, and when I explore Parent 1, I get Model B effectivity on the children.
