Difference between Generic/Engineering Content in Documentation

Hello, I'm trying to understand a bit deeper what are the types of content in 3DExperience and how one can benefit from knowing that.

To understand which are the different types of content, I found this section in DS help, called "Content Categories": 3DEXPERIENCE>3DEXPERIENCE Platform>Collaborating in 3DEXPERIENCE>Controlling Access to Content in Collaborative Spaces>Content Categories

(I don't know why, I am not being able to post the link here)

It never specifies anything about Generic Content/Engineering content.

I only could something related to Engineering/Generic content in the pages that talk about sharing it:

What amazed me is that in the end of the Generic Content page, it says this:

User D creates a Physical Product in the Design collaborative space, and grants the Can Read permission to the CompanyName.Review collaborative space/organization pair. Although User C has the Leader responsibility, User C's credentials only grant the Can Read permission, so User C can see, but not modify the Physical Product.
