Hello,
We are looking for an efficient way to perform a bulk replacement of a part used in multiple different assemblies with another part within a WEB application.
In the former Engineering Central, we could perform “Where Used” on a part and create an ECO to perform a bulk part replacement for multiple parent assemblies found on the "Where Used" screen. Even so, customers at the time often gave negative feedback, saying, “Do we really need to create an ECO just to do a bulk replacement?”
What methods are available in the current UPS EBOM?
While it is possible to load multiple root assemblies into the Product Structure Editor, select multiple part instances to replace in each assembly, and use the “Replace by Existing” command to replace them all at once, it can be difficult to select the target parts to be replaced accurately and completely when there are a large number of assemblies involved or when the assembly structure is extremely large.
If anyone knows a better way to do this, I’d appreciate it if you could let me know.
Thank you,
