Hi folks, I have a question on bookmark permissions/user permissions (2023x on-prem):
Scenario:
Our design office create all of their models and drawings in one collab space. We are using an external engineering supplier who is creating some of our drawings for us, so we have allowed them limited access to our platform and then the designers share the models they want the supplier to see by dropping them into a bookmark that the supplier has visibility of.
Now, our manufacturing engineering department are using the same supplier to create work instructions for us. However, the designers only dropped individual parts and sub-assemblies into the bookmark, because the top level assemblies were still drawn in house. The work instruction requires views of the entire product so now the supplier needs more models adding to the bookmark.
The problem is that the MEs only have Reader permissions in the platform, so they are currently unable to add models to the bookmark, and the DO don't have the budget (or inclination 🙄 ) to do it.
I can't allow the MEs to be able to modify DO data, so I can't simply change them from Reader to Author. But I'm wondering, if I create a new Collab Space and make the MEs authors there, and create a new bookmark for the supplier's access in that Collab Space, would the ME's be able to drop DO data into it?
In other words: If a 3DEXPERIENCE user has Reader permissions in Collaborative Space A and Author permissions in Collaborative Space B, would they be able to add an object from Collaborative Space A to a Bookmark in Collaborative Space B?
If not, any other suggestions on how to manage this data share activity?
Thanks
