Here are some challenges we're currently facing in our organization
The initial intend of 3DEXPERIENCE usage for document management in our origination was that ALL documents regardless of the type (engineering, administrative, HR, purchase requests, presentations, meeting notes, generic processes, etc.) would be stored in 3DSpace for version/revision control, document approval, etc. It turns out that this has been very challenging for us given that providing 3DS seats and training for the entire organization is extremely expensive and inefficient. In addition to that, the platform has demonstrated to be not intuitive for users, and the learning curve is much higher than we expected. Another issue we're facing is that we still haven't figure out the best security context settings for document segregation (collaborative space settings) given that our IT department has minimal control over our OOTB cloud solution, therefore we suspect that a lot of confidential documents are stored publicly in 3Dexperience and this a problematic situation. Therefore, my question is the following:
What are some use cases that justify the usage of 3DSpace for document management over 3DDrive or any other cloud-based storage application such as SharePoint or Google Drive?
We're trying to figure the most effective way that we use our tool set so any educational inputs here are very much appreciated
