Collaboration for Microsoft ​​​​​​​Sharepoint ​​​​​​​Integration ​​​​​​​

is it possible to run the (file-based) synchronization between Sharepoint and a collaborative-space also without running MS Word - (having the Collaboration for Microsoft (CSV-OC) active on this machine?

I would like to synchronize Microsoft Office data from sharepoint with either my 3DDrive or 3DSpace container. I have found some settings to do that manually (see screenshot on the right)  but I am​​​​​​​ searching for a way to sync them automatically as soon as a Sharepoint document has been changed.

I also searched the configuration for the "Collaboration for Microsoft"-Client but was unbale to find an appropriate setting​​​​​​​
