I used Draftsight for a few years on Windows XP but when I moved to Win 7 a few years ago I didn't install it. Now I tried to download and install the version for my 32bit computer and it gave some error messages. I have used regedit to remove all instances from the registry and have also tried to delete the program from the main list. I can send screenshots of the messages.

One says, "Error 1721. There is a problem with this Windows installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run."

Another says, "Error 1316. The specific account already exists.

Also, I was unable to program and got another error:

"The feature you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM or other removable disk that is not available. Insert the 'Draftsight' disk and click OK.

What disk? I was only trying to download and install. I do it often with many other programs.

I am very experienced with Windows, I'm the IT manager in the office and I have written books on Windows training guides. I also have a Linux computer where I installed that version of Draftsight with no problem.

Need some help here.
